Treehouse times

Jacob has been craving a lot of one on one time lately. So the other day when he decided not to take a nap (the third day in a row) I decided that instead of sitting him down and telling him how important it is to rest so our bodies can grow (blah, blah, blah), I told him that we could go play in the treehouse. We had a really nice time snacking, talking, and looking over the fence at our neighbors dump truck toys (I think Jacob might be coveting).

Every time I get the chance to hang out with Jacob alone I realize what a cool kid he is. I mean, he's only three, but he really does have an old soul. He can sense when I'm sad or having a rough day. Sometimes he takes advantage of this and tries to defeat me and get his way (Which rarely happens. He'll learn one day). But other times he'll just come up to me, play with my hair and say, "I miss Papa too, Mommy." He just gets me.

I praise God every day for my little ones. I really am truly blessed that He saw me fit to be their mommy. I know I'm a work in progress as a parent, but I feel so honored that I get these precious two to take care of and guide along through life. I pray that I can be an example of Christ to them and show them His unconditional love.
